Please note that contested cases are billed on an hourly basis. Our current hourly rate for these types of cases is $300.00. We make every effort to first resolve your case with an out of court settlement by way of negotiating a separation agreement. Many of our cases are resolved prior to the first case conference in court. However, in a small number of cases, due to either an uncooperative spouse, an urgent issue, or the parties being too far apart in their views of the issues, using the court to resolve the outstanding issues becomes necessary.
